ABOUT WABES 2026
The Warri Blue Economy Summit (WABES) 2026 is convened by His Majesty, Ogiame, Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri through the Warri Blue Economy Development Initiatives in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy and the Delta State Government, to promote sustainable coastal and marine development across Warri and the Niger Delta region.
WABES 2026 brings together policymakers, investors, industry leaders, innovators, environmental experts, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders to unlock opportunities within the blue economy through investment, innovation, infrastructure, and sustainable development.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 8, 9, 13, 14, and 17) and Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy policy framework, the summit is committed to driving economic growth, environmental sustainability, job creation, and shared prosperity in coastal and riverine communities.
More than just a summit, WABES 2026 is a movement for action, collaboration, and regional transformation creating practical solutions and partnerships that will shape the future of marine and coastal development in Nigeria.
